Pumpkin Fairy

In the past couple of years, I have been wanting to go to a pumpkin patch and pick out a carving pumpkin. So this Saturday, after I got off of work, I decided I was going to go. I Googled pumpkin patches in Mississippi then looked to see what the first pumpkin patch website came up. I knew this pumpkin patch had to be perfect since it was the first one on Google's list.

John was hanging out with a friend, so I went with my parents to Mitchell Farms.

I wanted to go on a hayride. So while we were standing in line I was think we would be riding on a trailer hitched to a big truck. Never did I expect that we would be riding in the mac daddy of all hayrides.

They also have two corn mazes, a day time and night time maze. We weren't waiting around for nightfall to do the night time maze, so we stuck with day time maze. The corn was mainly dead, and people had made their own paths through the maze. So we were less than impressed with this part.

My dad also did a 5 mile walk earlier that day then came to the pumpkin match with me and mom!

"Ridin' along in my automobile.."

This is where we got to pick out our pumpkins, except there was no patch to pick our pumpkins from.  Now, I wanted to go to a pumpkin PATCH to pick out my pumpkins, but instead we were told the Pumpkin Fairy already picked all of the pumpkins and put them in this area for us to choose. *insert disappointed Emoji face*

Cinderella's pumpkin is still in the growing stages.

This was one of the best parts of the entire day, and I'm still sore two days later! A rope swing attached to a massive tree, my dad there to give me all of the pushes I needed, and my mom there to take photos! And despite what my mom thought, no one ended up at the emergency room.

Beautiful Sunflower fields!

And cotton fields!

When we were leaving the farm, we saw these cute guys giving us a stare down!

We had a great time at Mitchell Farms even if we didn't get to pick our pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. There was a ton of different things to do, and it was very well organized! I will definitely be going back - maybe to do the night time corn maze!

All opinions shared are my own - straight out of my roaming brain.

    1. Oh, we had so much fun! The only (other) thing that was missing was a hay stack to jump in! :))
