The Grayt Debate

To greige or not to greige? That is the quesiton! Little did I know how hard that question was going to be to answer. I mean it's only almost our entire interior that will be this color.

I like greige. I feel like it warms up a room quite nicely and feels cozy. John is not a fan. He likes neutral grays, which I think can look a bit icy and cold if you aren't careful. We picked out some samples from Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, and Valspar. We brought the paint chips home and taped them to the wall. We quickly eliminated about ten but couldn't agree, so we narrowed it down to five to actually buy paint samples for and try on the wall.

As you can see from the picture above, that didn't work. We ended up buying five more samples to get a color we both loved. We were looking for something lighter (for me) and something non-greige (for John). What happened to the light box that let you look at paint samples in the day-light? Apparently those are non-existent now. Therefore, I blame those damn fluorescent lights in the stores for making us buy all of these paint samples.

Well, after ten samples, we still couldn't agree and decide. So I finally chose two colors - SW Repose Gray (pictured in two different spots in the picture) and SW Light French Gray. I let John pick between those two colors, and he chose *drumroll* SW Light French Gray! He said that's the one I fell in love with in the very beginning, so he chose that one. He's so sweet <3
 Painting will commence Summer 2018!

Of course I will post pictures of the beginning, middle, and end of the process! Wish us luck!
